North Carolina LGBT Teens :]

I've just recently came out of the closet to my parents and close group of friends. It's been a under-toned fact that I've been gay for the past 7 or so years, but I decided to make it official. My problem is that, there is no support, no "out" gay people like me at my school. This may just be because of it being my freshmen year, or the fact I don't "look" like I am gay. I've had a very rocky start to this all and would really like any help or advice i can get. Thanks, -Ghost

I totally understand where you’re coming from. Perhaps see if your school has a GSA? If they don’t maybe you can try and start one? If not, There’s always people you can network through! C: Such as people on this blog. :D Also there might be some out gays that you just haven’t found out about yet. I didn’t find half of my gay friends til my 10th grade year. c: There are plenty of us around, you just have to know where to look and who to ask. c:

By the way guys… I turned 18 this past Wednesday and got my first tattoo. The general message behind this image was “spreading the gay sickness.” My best friend was bullied a lot in school and was always picked on for being gay. Well one day this group of people where talking about how gay was a “sickness” and was being spread at a fast rate. Well being the smartass that he is, he drew a picture similar to this one and put it in the front of his binder for everyone to see. I fell in love with it and had to have it on my body. Its not a complete rainbow, but its kinda my first pride tattoo. I don’t think yellow would show up well on my skin anyway. Lol But the little guy resembles my friend and I wanted something to remember him by. What better way than a tattoo that has his wild hair? Lol He’s been a huge part of my life for the last 4-5 years and he’s the one that keeps me going. Some people say I’m kinda crazy for getting something like this and they say things like “I hope you two stay friends.” The way I look at it, even if something happens and we end up hating each other or something, he saved my life and I will ALWAYS be here for him. No matter what. And he will ALWAYS mean as much to me as he does right now. When I look at it I remember the good times we’ve had and I smile. I think this tattoo is going to help me through so much. But anyway I’m rambling. Sorry. D: BUT yea. First pride tattoo.
